No. CELTA+AI 100% Online leads to exactly the same certificate as the traditional face-to-face CELTA. Assessed outcomes are the same for all trainees, so there is no need for separate certification. 

No. Although we’ve integrated aspects of digital technology and AI on the course, the only techincal requirements are:

• Study on the official Cambridge CELTA platform
• Use of Zoom (as this is our virtual classroom)
• Basic computer literacy skills

  • use of internet for searches, email, to access the CELTA platform, etc.
    

  • use of word processing program (e.g. Word, Google Docs) for written assignments, etc.

  • use of presentation program recommended (e.g. PowerPoint, Google Slides)

FREE BONUS #1 – Pre-CELTA Course
The biggest “complaint” about the CELTA is that it’s an intense course with a heavy workload which can be overwhelming if you’re not properly prepared. Our FREE Pre-CELTA course will prepare you by introducing you to CELTA content and by giving you a taste of what to expect on CELTA so you thrive in spite of the workload and intensity.

CELTA is a methodology course and focuses on teaching general English to adults. Although you may be delivering your lessons online, that’s where CELTA stops as far as “online teaching”. However, if you’re hired to teach online you may need to know how to plan for synchronous and asynchronous lessons, manage content on platforms, etc., and that’s where our Teaching Online Certificate comes in.

We created this course at the beginning of the pandemic to help teachers transition to teaching online and picks up where CELTA leaves off, leading to a second, separate certificate, apart from your CELTA. Our thinking behind this is, your CELTA certificate says “I know how to teach English” and your Teaching Online certificate says “I know how to teach online”, so both certificates say to potential employers that “you know how to teach English, online”.

Regardless of whether you take the course Face-to-Face or Online, our CELTA(+AI) course is $1890 USD.
